The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Sotomayor Wolves (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Maywood CES Wolfpack (Maywood, CA), observed Sotomayor's basketball team overwhelm Maywood CES by a score of 74-37.

The Wolves (12-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA). The Bulldogs come into the Southern challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Elizabeth was routed by Marquez (Huntington Park, CA), 70-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolfpack encounter the Maywood Academy Nighthawks (Maywood, CA) in a Southern challenge, on Monday, February 3. Maywood CES will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Nighthawks come into the challenge with a 12-12 record after their 70-48 league win over Torres (Los Angeles, CA).
