The Pontiac Phoenix basketball squad (Pontiac, MI), was nudged 50-43 in Thursday's league battle with the host Rochester Falcons (Rochester Hills, MI)

With the victory, Rochester advances its record to 12-4 on the year. The Falcons travel to Bloomfield Hills (Bloomfield Hills, MI) to meet the Black Hawks in a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Black Hawks enter the battle with a record of 9-5.

The Phoenix (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Southfield Arts & Tech (Southfield, MI). The Warriors come into the Oakland - Blue outing with a 6-12 record. In their last outing, Southfield Arts & Tech held off Berkley (Berkley, MI), 43-39, in a league outing.
