Alabama High School Basketball - Sulligent holds off Winfield

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Sulligent Blue Devils basketball team scored a close 49-44 triumph over the Winfield Pirates.
The Blue Devils (17-8) will now prepare for their contest against Lamar County (Vernon, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league contest with a 3-23 record. In their last contest, Lamar County was tipped by South Lamar (Millport, AL), 84-74, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Pirates confront the Oakman Wildcats (Oakman, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, February 3. Winfield will attempt to better on its 17-12 season record.
