In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Tri County Area Vikings basketball team scored a close 38-31 win over the Big Rapids Cardinals.
The Vikings (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Newaygo (Newaygo, MI). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Whitehall Vikings (Whitehall, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, February 4. Big Rapids will attempt to better on its 2-12 season record.
