The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI) and the host Cumberland Clippers (Cumberland, RI), observed East Providence's basketball team knock off Cumberland by a score of 49-38.
The Townies (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cranston East (Cranston, RI). The Thunderbolts come into the non-league challenge with a 0-5 record.
In their next game, the Clippers encounter the La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Cumberland will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record.
