The Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) basketball crushed the visiting St. Katharine Drexel Yellowjackets (New Orleans, LA), 48-16 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Penguins now possess a 6-14 record. They play next when they host Belle Chasse for a 4A District 9 bout on Saturday, February 1. Academy of Our Lady will play a Cardinals team coming off a 53-29 league loss to Willow (New Orleans, LA). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-11.
With the loss, St. Katharine Drexel falls to 9-21 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host St. Mary's Academy (New Orleans, LA) to play the Cougars in a 2A District 10 bout on Friday, January 31. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-13.
