The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Berrien Rebels to 34 in the Purple Hurricane league triumph on Thursday.

The Purple Hurricane now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Bacon County for a A D1 Region 1 game on Friday, January 31. Fitzgerald will confront a Raiders team coming off a 42-18 league win over Berrien (Nashville, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 11-6.

With the loss, Berrien falls to 2-18 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Brantley County (Nahunta, GA) to confront the Herons in a A D1 Region 1 game on Friday, January 31. The Herons go into the game with a record of 14-5. Brantley County won 53-18 in their recent league game against Jeff Davis (Hazlehurst, GA)
