West Salem Panthers (West Salem, WI) fans went home pleased Thursday as they observed their basketball team overwhelm the visiting Black River Falls Tigers (Black River Falls, WI), 86-45 in a league challenge.

The Panthers (15-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Holmen (Holmen, WI). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 7-8 record. In their last challenge, Holmen was routed by Aquinas (La Crosse, WI), 69-58, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Sparta Spartans (Sparta, WI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Black River Falls will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 8-11 record after their 53-35 league loss to Onalaska (Onalaska, WI).
