The Martins Ferry Purple Riders basketball team scored 63 points and limited the visiting Cambridge Bobcats to 18 in the Purple Riders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Purple Riders now have a 13-5 record. They play next when they host Wheeling Central Catholic for a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. Martins Ferry will confront a Maroon Knights team coming off a 54-51 league win over Williamstown (Williamstown, WV). The Maroon Knights record now stands at 13-1.

With the loss, Cambridge falls to 5-12 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Harrison Central (Cadiz, OH) to confront the Huskies in a Buckeye 8 game on Saturday, February 1. The Huskies go into the game with a record of 14-5. Harrison Central won 41-35 in their recent league game against Beaver Local (Lisbon, OH)
