In Thursday's league test, the Conneaut Spartans (Conneaut, OH) basketball squad defeated the host Lakeside Dragons (Ashtabula, OH), by a score of 46-27.

Next, the Spartans clash with the Pymatuning Valley Lakers (Andover, OH) in a non-league test, on Saturday, February 1. Conneaut will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The Lakers come into the test with a 13-4 record after their 56-18 league win over Mathews (Vienna, OH).

The Dragons (2-14) will now prepare for their test against St. John (Ashtabula, OH). The Fighting Herald come into the non-league test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, St. John went down by Bristol (Bristolville, OH), 44-26, in a league test.
