Next, the Colts encounter the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks (Maricopa, AZ) in a 4A Black Canyon test, on Friday, January 31. Cortez will attempt to improve on its 4-10 season record. The Golden Hawks come into the test with a 8-14 record after their 74-21 league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ).

The Buffaloes (3-14) will now prepare for their test against Coronado (Scottsdale, AZ). The Dons come into the 4A Black Canyon test with a 8-13 record. In their last test, Coronado was nipped by Yuma (Yuma, AZ), 49-36, in a league test.
