Vermont High School Basketball - Long Trail nips Green Mountain

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Long Trail basketball team scored a close 34-30 triumph over the Green Mountain Chieftains.
The (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Green Mountain (Chester, VT). The Chieftains go into the Marble Valley - C contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Green Mountain nipped Leland & Gray (Townshend, VT), 54-25, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Chieftains battle the Long Trail (Dorset, VT) in a Freelance contest, on Friday, January 31. Green Mountain will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record. The go into the contest with a 9-3 record after their 64-22 non-league win over Proctor (Proctor, VT).
