Kansas High School Basketball - West holds off Highland Park

The West Chargers basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Highland Park Scots to 45 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Chargers now have a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Shawnee Heights for a non-league game on Friday, January 31. West will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 54-47 non-league win over Blue Valley (Stilwell, KS). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 6-4.
With the loss, Highland Park falls to 7-2 on the campaign. The Scots travel to Washington (Kansas City, KS) to confront the Wildcats in a Meadowlark game on Tuesday, February 4. The Wildcats go into the game with a record of 3-8. Washington won 57-27 in their recent non-league game against Schlagle (Kansas City, KS)
