The Lakeview Spartans (Battle Creek, MI) basketball were winner over the visiting Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI), 50-34 in Thursday's league bout.
The Spartans now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to Mattawan for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. Lakeview will play a Wildcats team coming off a 65-17 league loss to Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-12.
With the loss, Kalamazoo Central falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Maroon giants travel to Portage Northern (Portage, MI) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 4. The Huskies go into the bout with a record of 0-14.
