North Carolina High School Basketball - Mitchell overwhelms Rosman

The Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Rosman Tigers to 19 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Thursday.

The Mountaineers now have a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Cloudland for a non-league game on Saturday, February 1. Mitchell will confront a Highlanders team coming off a 56-36 non-league loss to Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Highlanders record now stands at 10-10.

With the loss, Rosman falls to 5-11 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Owen (Black Mountain, NC) to confront the Warhorses in a 1A/2A Western Highlands game on Friday, January 31. The Warhorses go into the game with a record of 2-17. Owen lost 65-20 in their recent league game against Avery County (Newland, NC)
