The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the New Standard Academy Spartans (Flint, MI) and the host More Academy Crusaders (Burton, MI), observed New Standard Academy's basketball team knock off More Academy by a score of 59-41.

The Spartans (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Beecher (Flint, MI). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 0-8 record. In their last challenge, Beecher was knocked off by Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI), 54-22, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Crusaders encounter the New Life Christian Academy Knights (Kimball, MI) in a Freelance challenge, on Monday, February 3. More Academy will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 58-16 league loss to More Academy (Burton, MI).
