North Carolina High School Basketball - New Hanover overwhelms West Brunswick

January 30, 2025: Shallotte, NC 28470

The New Hanover Wildcats basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host West Brunswick Trojans to 33 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now possess a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ashley for a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Friday, January 31. New Hanover will confront a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 40-34 league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 7-11.

With the loss, West Brunswick falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Trojans host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to confront the Pirates in a 3A/4A Mideastern game on Friday, January 31. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 13-5. Topsail won 40-34 in their recent league game against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
