Utah High School Basketball - Providence Hall succumbs to Summit Academy

January 30, 2025: Bluffdale, UT 84096

In Thursday's league test, the Summit Academy Bears (Bluffdale, UT) basketball squad defeated the visiting Providence Hall Patriots (Herriman, UT), by a score of 50-34.

Next, the Bears clash with the Layton Christian Academy Eagles (Layton, UT) in a 3A Region 14 test, on Monday, February 3. Summit Academy will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 12-9 record after their 42-40 league loss to Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT).

The Patriots (5-14) will now prepare for their test against Vanguard Academy (West Valley City, UT). The Knights come into the non-league test with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Vanguard Academy overcame American Prep WV (West Valley City, UT), 43-29, in a non-league test.
