The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the West Side Eagles (Greers Ferry, AR) and the host Shirley Blue Devils (Shirley, AR), observed West Side's basketball team overwhelm Shirley by a score of 69-30.

The Eagles (28-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Rural Special (Fox, AR). The Rebels come into the 1A Region 2 challenge with a 24-4 record. In their last challenge, Rural Special trounced Norfork (Norfork, AR), 51-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils battle the Sacred Heart Rebels (Morrilton, AR) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Shirley will attempt to improve on its 1-25 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 19-6 record after their 57-40 league loss to Wonderview (Hattieville, AR).
