In Thursday's non-league contest, the host West Valley Christian Warriors basketball team scored a big 63-24 triumph over the South Ridge Mavericks.
The Warriors (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Telesis Prep (Lake Havasu City, AZ). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, Telesis Prep smashed Verde Valley (Sedona, AZ), 51-5, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Mavericks confront the Tohono O'Odham Eagles (Sells, AZ) in a Freelance contest, on Friday, January 31. South Ridge will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 9-2 record after their 72-33 non-league win over Gila Bend (Gila Bend, AZ).
