California High School Basketball - University Prep Academy sneaks past The Nueva School

The University Prep Academy Golden Eagles (San Jose, CA) basketball edged the visiting The Nueva School Mavericks (San Mateo, CA), 36-35 in Thursday's league bout.
The Golden Eagles now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Palma for a non-league bout on Friday, January 31. University Prep Academy will play a Chieftains team coming off a 37-30 non-league win over Greenfield (Greenfield, CA). The Chieftains record now stands at 14-2.
With the loss, The Nueva School falls to 4-11 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Summit Shasta (Daly City, CA) to play the Black Bears in a Private School - Bay bout on Saturday, February 1. The Black Bears go into the bout with a record of 11-5. Summit Shasta won 63-8 in their recent league bout against Basis Independent Silicon Valley (San Jose, CA)
