The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the East Duplin Panthers (Beulaville, NC) and the visiting Southwest Onslow Stallions (Jacksonville, NC), observed East Duplin's basketball team edge Southwest Onslow by a score of 23-20.

The Panthers (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-2 record.

In their next game, the Stallions encounter the Kinston Vikings (Kinston, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 31. Southwest Onslow will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 20-18 league loss to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC).
