North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett triumphant over Gray's Creek

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Purnell Swett Rams (Pembroke, NC) and the host Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC), observed Purnell Swett's basketball team overwhelm Gray's Creek by a score of 65-22.

The Rams (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Jack Britt trounced South View (Hope Mills, NC), 41-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears encounter the Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 4. Gray's Creek will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 49-39 non-league win over South View (Hope Mills, NC).
