In Thursday's non-league test, the Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA) ice hockey squad bounced the visiting Wheeling Central Catholic Maroon Knights (Wheeling, WV), by a final score of 8-1.

Next, the Cougars face the Shaler Area Titans (Pittsburgh, PA) in a test, on Monday, February 3. Blackhawk will attempt to upgrade on its 9-8 season record. The Titans come into the test with a 15-5 record after their 6-3 league win over Meadville (Meadville, PA).

The Maroon Knights (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Chartiers Valley (Bridgeville, PA). The Colts go into the non-league bout with a 16-3 record. In their last bout, Chartiers Valley edged Beaver (Beaver, PA), 9-2, in a league bout.
