North Carolina High School Basketball - Purnell Swett nips Gray's Creek

In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Purnell Swett Rams basketball team scored a close 56-49 triumph over the Gray's Creek Bears.

The Rams (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers go into the contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Jack Britt was tipped by Lumberton (Lumberton, NC), 44-35, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bears battle the Douglas Byrd Eagles (Fayetteville, NC) in a contest, on Friday, January 31. Gray's Creek will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-11 record after their 60-33 non-league loss to Cape Fear (Fayetteville, NC).
