In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Salpointe Catholic Lancers basketball team scored a close 66-64 win over the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts.
The Lancers (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ). The Saints come into the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Notre Dame Prep was tipped by Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ), 52-50, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Thunderbolts battle the Buena Colts (Sierra Vista, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Mica Mountain will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Colts come into the contest with a 5-1 record after their 83-73 league win over Cienega (Vail, AZ).
