The New Hanover Wildcats basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host West Brunswick Trojans to 34 in the Wildcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Wildcats now have a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ashley for a game on Friday, January 31. New Hanover will confront a Screaming Eagle team coming off a 50-49 non-league loss to Topsail (Hampstead, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 6-8.

With the loss, West Brunswick falls to 8-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 7-10. Topsail won 50-49 in their recent non-league game against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)
