California High School Basketball - Paramount trounced by Downey

The Paramount Pirates basketball squad (Paramount, CA), was crushed 65-35 in Friday's league battle with the host Downey Vikings (Downey, CA)

With the victory, Downey betters its record to 19-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lynwood (Lynwood, CA) to battle the Knights in a Gateway challenge on Tuesday, February 3. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-25. Lynwood lost 72-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Firebaugh (Lynwood, CA)

In their next game, the Pirates battle the Norwalk Lancers (Norwalk, CA) in a San Gabriel Valley challenge, on Tuesday, February 3. Paramount will attempt to better on its 13-14 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 14-12 record after their 60-32 league loss to Warren (Downey, CA).
