Maryland High School Basketball - Stone trounces Calvert

The Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) basketball crushed the host Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD), 71-24 in Monday's league test.
The Cougars (6-3) will now prepare for their test against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams go into the Southern Maryland test with a 4-8 record. In their last test, McDonough was trounced by Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD), 54-48, in a non-league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Westlake for a Southern Maryland test on Wednesday, February 2. Calvert will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 81-54 league win over Great Mills (Great Mills, MD). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-1.
