Texas High School Basketball - Abernathy knocked off by Childress

The Childress Bobcats basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Abernathy Antelopes to 44 in the Bobcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 18-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shallowater for a 3A Region I District 2 contest on Friday, February 3. Childress will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 48-38 league win over Idalou (Idalou, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 17-2.
The Antelopes (15-9) will now prepare for their contest against Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX). The Eagles enter the 3A Region I District 2 contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Roosevelt ran past Slaton (Slaton, TX), 50-32, in a league contest.
