South Carolina High School Basketball - Midland Valley fells Aiken

January 31, 2023: Aiken, SC 29801

Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), 63-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland Valley upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Mustangs host South Aiken (Aiken, SC) to play the Thoroughbreds in a AAAA Region 4 bout on Friday, February 3. The Thoroughbreds go into the bout with a record of 9-12. South Aiken won 57-43 in their recent league bout against Airport (West Columbia, SC)

Next up, the Fighting Green Hornets play the Silver Bluff Bulldogs (Aiken, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Aiken will attempt to upgrade on its 12-10 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 7-7 record after their 68-55 league win over Batesburg-Leesville (Batesburg, SC).
