The Akron-Westfield Westerners basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Trinity Christian Tigers to 40 in the Westerners league victory on Tuesday.

The Westerners now sport a 6-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary's for a War Eagle contest on Friday, February 3. Akron-Westfield will battle a Hawks team coming off a 68-62 league win over West Sioux (Hawarden, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 16-2.

The Tigers (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA). The Wolves come into the War Eagle contest with a 4-11 record. In their last contest, Harris-Lake Park dropped by Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA), 68-65, in a league contest.
