The Alameda Hornets basketball team scored 52 points and restricted the host St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots to 41 in the Hornets league victory on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Piedmont for a West Alameda County - Foothill contest on Thursday, February 2. Alameda will battle a Highlanders team coming off a 54-30 league win over Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA). The Highlanders record now stands at 16-7.

The Pilots (5-15) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Dragons come into the West Alameda County - Foothill contest with a 12-10 record. In their last contest, Bishop O'Dowd prevailed over Fortune Early College (Sacramento, CA), 62-61, in a non-league contest.
