The Jonesboro Eagles (Jonesboro, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Aquilla Cougars (Aquilla, TX), 55-41 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (9-8) will now prepare for their test against Abbott (Abbott, TX). The Panthers go into the 1A Region IV District 25 test with a 13-0 record. In their last test, Abbott notched a victory over Gholson (Waco, TX), 70-30, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Abbott for a 1A Region IV District 25 test on Friday, February 3. Aquilla will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 68-33 league win over Mount Calm (Mount Calm, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 11-0.
