Cabrini Monarchs (Allen Park, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Austin Catholic Crusaders (Chesterfield, MI), 43-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cabrini upgrades its record to 5-10 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit (West Bloomfield, MI) to play the Jaguars in a Catholic Intersectional II bout on Thursday, February 2. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 4-8. Frankel Jewish Academy of Metro Detroit lost 48-43 in their recent non-league bout against Roeper (Birmingham, MI)

Next up, the Crusaders play the Our Lady of the Lakes Lakers (Waterford, MI) in a Catholic Intersectional I bout, on Friday, February 3. Austin Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Lakers come into the bout with a 6-4 record after their 46-36 league win over Detroit Cristo Rey (Detroit, MI).
