The Wayne County Yellow Jackets basketball team (Jesup, GA), was overwhelmed 66-29 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA)

The Cadets now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Hampstead for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Friday, February 3. Benedictine will confront a Phoenix team coming off a 69-59 non-league win over Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA). The Phoenix record now stands at 11-9.

The Yellow Jackets (15-9) will now prepare for their battle against Southeast Bulloch (Brooklet, GA). The Yellow Jackets come into the AAAA Region 3 battle with a 8-14 record. In their last battle, Southeast Bulloch trounced Burke County (Waynesboro, GA), 77-66, in a league battle.
