California High School Basketball - Buckingham Charter overwhelmed by Valley Christian

The Valley Christian Lions basketball team scored 87 points and restricted the visiting Buckingham Charter Knights to 42 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 15-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cristo Rey for a Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League contest on Thursday, February 2. Valley Christian will battle a Saints team coming off a 76-36 league loss to Western Sierra Collegiate Academy (Rocklin, CA). The Saints record now stands at 2-12.

The Knights (2-15) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Christian (Yuba City, CA). The Lions come into the Sacramento Metropolitan Athletic League contest with a 4-12 record. In their last contest, Faith Christian triumphed over Creative Connections Arts Academy (North Highlands, CA), 41-40, in a non-league contest.
