In Tuesday's league outing, the Mellen Granite Diggers (Mellen, WI) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI), by a margin of 83-32.

The Granite Diggers (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Drummond (Drummond, WI). The Lumberjacks go into the Indianhead outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Drummond smashed Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI), 58-34, in a league outing.

The Midgets now own a 0-14 record. They play next when they travel to Mercer for a Indianhead outing on Friday, February 3. Butternut will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 44-32 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, WI). The Tigers record now stands at 2-15.
