Marquette Mohawks (Bellevue, IA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Calamus-Wheatland Warriors (Wheatland, IA), 67-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Marquette upgrades its record to 18-2 on the season. The Mohawks travel to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA) to clash with the Lynx in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Lynx come into the challenge with a record of 19-1. North Linn won 60-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA)

Next up, the Warriors play the East Buchanan Buccaneers (Winthrop, IA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Friday, February 3. Calamus-Wheatland will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 10-9 record after their 76-71 league loss to Central City (Central City, IA).
