The Cape Cod Academy Seahawks basketball team (Osterville, MA), was nudged 60-57 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Martha's Vineyard Regional Vineyarders (Oak Bluffs, MA)
The Vineyarders now possess a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monomoy for a Cape & Islands - Meritime battle on Friday, February 3. Martha's Vineyard Regional will battle a Sharks team coming off a 71-53 league loss to Nantucket (Nantucket, MA). The Sharks record now stands at 5-9.
The Seahawks (7-8) will now prepare for their battle against Nantucket (Nantucket, MA). The Whalers come into the Cape & Islands - Meritime battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Nantucket edged Monomoy (Harwich, MA), 71-53, in a league battle.
