Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA), 76-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Central Catholic upgrades its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Centerville (Centerville, LA) to play the Bulldogs in a 1A District 7 bout on Friday, February 3. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 3-13. Centerville lost 64-42 in their recent league bout against Jeanerette (Jeanerette, LA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Berwick Panthers (Berwick, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Jeanerette will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 62-39 league loss to Patterson (Patterson, LA).
