The Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) basketball crushed the visiting Central Springs Panthers (Manly, IA), 84-53 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (15-2) will now prepare for their test against St. Ansgar (St. Ansgar, IA). The Saints go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, St. Ansgar was trounced by Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA), 58-55, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to New Hampton for a non-league test on Thursday, February 2. Central Springs will encounter a Chickasaws squad coming off a 88-59 league loss to Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA). The Chickasaws record now stands at 7-10.
