The Chariton Chargers basketball team (Chariton, IA), was nudged 68-67 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Davis County Mustangs (Bloomfield, IA)

The Mustangs now sport a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host New London for a non-league battle on Thursday, February 2. Davis County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 79-57 league loss to Notre Dame (Burlington, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 10-9.

The Chargers (3-13) will now prepare for their battle against Wayne (Corydon, IA). The Falcons come into the non-league battle with a 7-13 record. In their last battle, Wayne was nudged by Central Decatur (Leon, IA), 67-41, in a league battle.
