The Bulldogs now possess a 21-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shepherd for a 3A Region III District 23 battle on Friday, February 3. New Waverly will confront a Pirates team coming off a 71-60 league loss to Crockett (Crockett, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 15-15.

The Trojans (13-14) will now prepare for their battle against Anderson-Shiro (Anderson, TX). The Fighting Owls come into the 3A Region III District 23 battle with a 6-23 record. In their last battle, Anderson-Shiro was overwhelmed by Trinity (Trinity, TX), 55-43, in a league battle.
