Texas High School Basketball - Goose Creek Memorial can't hold off Crosby

The Crosby Cougars basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Goose Creek Memorial Patriots to 42 in the Cougars league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cougars now sport a 13-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, February 3. Crosby will battle a Ganders team coming off a 42-40 league loss to Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Ganders record now stands at 11-16.
The Patriots (16-15) will now prepare for their contest against Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Rangers enter the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 14-17 record. In their last contest, Sterling was nudged by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 56-37, in a league contest.
