The James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) basketball nipped the host Culpeper County Blue Devils (Culpeper, VA), 56-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Yellow Jackets (7-12) will now prepare for their test against Spotsylvania (Spotsylvania, VA). The Knights go into the Battlefield test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Spotsylvania was tipped by Eastern View (Culpeper, VA), 62-44, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they host Caroline for a Battlefield test on Thursday, February 2. Culpeper County will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 57-48 league win over Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-8.
