Texas High School Basketball - Danbury can't hold off Hempstead

The Hempstead Bobcats basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Danbury Panthers to 48 in the Bobcats league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 6-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brazos for a 3A Region III District 24 contest on Friday, February 3. Hempstead will battle a Cougars team coming off a 60-41 league loss to East Bernard (East Bernard, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 12-11.
The Panthers (5-24) will now prepare for their contest against Hitchcock (Hitchcock, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Region III District 24 contest with a 19-7 record. In their last contest, Hitchcock nudged Van Vleck (Van Vleck, TX), 73-23, in a league contest.
