Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Denbigh Patriots (Newport News, VA), 70-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Phoebus upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Phantoms host Hampton (Hampton, VA) to play the Crabbers in a non-league bout on Friday, February 3. The Crabbers go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Hampton lost 44-42 in their recent league bout against Bethel (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Patriots play the Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Friday, February 3. Denbigh will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 1-16 record after their 78-74 non-league loss to Mathews (Mathews, VA).
