The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks to 39 in the Lakers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Lakers now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Surrey for a B Region 6 District 12 contest on Friday, February 3. Des Lacs-Burlington will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 81-58 league win over Berthold (Berthold, ND). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-9.

The Mavericks (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bishop Ryan (Minot, ND). The Lions enter the B Region 6 District 12 contest with a 12-1 record. In their last contest, Bishop Ryan triumphed over Our Redeemer's Christian (Minot, ND), 68-52, in a league contest.
