Ellendale Cardinals (Ellendale, ND) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers (Edgeley, ND), 74-70 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ellendale upgrades its record to 10-0 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Edgeley (Edgeley, ND) to play the Rangers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Rangers play the South Border co-op [Wishek/Ashley] Mustangs (Wishek, ND) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 59-54 league win over Medina/Pingree-Buchanan (Medina, ND).
